Dedicated to Support the Work of our Parish,
Saint Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church,
Its Pastor and Its People
Open to all men of the Parish, we meet on the first Thursday of each month in the Parish Center. Most meetings begin with light snacks and drinks at 6:30 pm followed by a brief business meeting during which we discuss future plans for projects and fund raising in support of our mission. Thus far we have been successful in keeping the conversation light but efficient, with most meetings lasting less than an hour.
Men of Saint Luke provide the, now traditional, Friday Fish Fry each Friday during Lent, supported with the desserts prepared by the Women’s Club. We have also provided the sweat and muscle to support the clean-up, fix-up projects during the year and the annual Parish Picnic.
It is not all work and no play. Earlier this year many of us spent an inspiring and peaceful few days at the Monastery of the Holy Spirit in Conyers. Our most recent outing was a day at the ranch of member Stan Kunka and his wife Pat where we enjoyed skeet and target shooting, trout fishing and a world class lunch featuring 1 ½ inch thick steaks grilled to perfection.
If interested in fellowship and contributing the TIME component of your stewardship to your parish, just show up on the first Thursday of the month. No invitation needed.
